the first fishing adventure on board our pontoon
Posted By Jim Hadfield on May 18, 2009
Chris, Nick and I took our fist fishing trip on the pontoon yesterday.
I guess the only thing I can say is that “It was GREAT!”. We had a lot of fun, caught a lot of fish (most too small), and just enjoyed being out on the water. Sure wish that Jeremy could be with us.
We realized that we needed a bimini top a lot more than we thought. Barb and I broke down and ordered one from Overton’s last night. Hope it gets here before next weekend (Memorial Day and we do plan to be out in force again)
We definately need an electric winch with a heavy anchor. Lifting an anchor up and down when fishing is not my idea of a good time, nor does my back like it.
We’ve got quite a list of things to do before the next fishing trip. Little things that will make our lives a LOT better once out on the water. Rod holders, radio, overall better organization of stuff on the deck, at least two more fishing seats are needed and get Jeremy back here so he can come with.
