Barb’s dad passed just before midnight on the 24th.. He lived a full and good life. Generous beyond all possibilities.
We gathered the our kids and the grandkids and drove to South Milwaukee on Friday morning. We got Jeremy, Alexia and Amelia on a jet and flew them over from Washington. Got four suites for the kids and their families and yes, it was expensive. But that is not why I am writing here.
I’m am totally amazed at how many people’s lives my father in-law touched in one way or another. There were more people at his funeral than we normally see at Easter Sunday mass!!
The Milwaukee Arch-Bishop, two Milwaukee Bishops, and approximately 40 priests were there to assist in the funeral. To me, it was more a celebration of dad’s life.
We will miss him dearly.
