Kitzke Family Reunion 2009

June, 2009…

A great time was had by all. Fishing, swimming, family times, all too much to itemize at once. As I get time (and pics), I will try to document some of the fun we had.

June 21, 2009.. We left Monticello around 9am. Nick pulling the pontoon, Chris as his chase vehicle, Barb was in Kathie’s car helping with the kids, and I was alone in the Vue (which was fully loaded..) Only two stops were needed for the entire trip. One potty stop along 94 in Wisconsin, then another for lunch at Subway in Thorp (Highway 29).

We got to Pinevalley Resort in St. Germain, WI around 3pm. Ahh, that pleasant feeling of being able to relax. Cars got unloaded, Nick and I went to the boat landing and got the pontoon in the water. Back to the cabin to get organized and settle in.

Some of the Decker’s and Kitzke’s were already settled into their cabins. Good thing, I had to visit Sue many times for ice and brandy.

Saturday night was just a getting settled night.

Sunday, went out for few cruises on the lake, went into town for misc. stuff and relaxed, swam in the lake, etc.. Sunday night, we tried a little walleye fishing, but to no avail. After giving up on that, we found a tempting weed bed. We hit the pan fish. I forgot how many we brought in. 20 something?
